Game of Thrones

I have just finished watching the first series of Game of Thrones and LOVED IT!!!!! Can’t believe I haven’t watched it sooner!

My favourite character so far is Daenerys Targaryen. Love her! She’s very small and pretty, but yet this incredibly strong woman! I was nearly in tears at the killing of a main character. Did not see that one coming. Am definitely team Stark! But I do really like Tyrion.

Pre-ordering the second series on DVD….comes out on the 4th March….can not wait!!!!

Oh yes it is!!!!!

Had a lovely visiting Lyme Park today!! Absolutely love this place and can’t believe I’ve walked in the footsteps of Colin Firth.

A really lovely guide who worked there asked if he could tell us a story….of corse I said yes. He explained that a while a ago a couple came to here and the women complained about the price of admission. However the man was adamant that it was fine and paid the entry. So they went in and 15mins later they came out and the woman was crying. The member of staff asked what was up. She said that her boyfriend had walked her to the weeping willow tree, where Lizzie and Mr Darcy stood when she bumped in to him after his swim, he got down on one knee and proposed to her!

This was such a lovely story and would love to be proposed to like this!!!!

Oh hell yes! I am too excited for this! Why isn’t it November already!

I am currently getting lost in North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell! I love the film but have never read the book, so have decided to finally read it and it is as amazing as the film!

Life of a twenty something

Am very happy today, I feel like right now my life is going pretty good.

I am in a job that I couldn’t of even dreamed I’d be doing. It’s the most perfect job for me and absolutely love it! And….am actually good at it. I was confirmed in post today so am chuffed to bits.

Am living at home with the parents…..which granted doesn’t sound too fun. But it’s cheap, meaning more money for clothes which is always a good thing. But me and my friend Amy from uni, have a plan to be living together in Manchester, by July this year! I can’t even begin to explain my excitement to live with Amy. Anyone that know’s us will understand, Jane Austen films will continuously be on repeat!

However my love life is lacking and since I support women in my job, and I only have female colleagues. Am not given much opportunity of meeting many males at all! So am officially holding up my hand and waving a white flag, surrendering to looking for love. After all….every one says you find when your not looking. So this is me declaring am not looking…..you hear that God! Am not looking at all…..well maybe an occasional bum glance every now and then :)

Red Lips!!

Is having one of those ill, boring, lazy, poorly days today :(
If I was in High School I’d be having a right ball watching films and eating crap!
…..However all I can think about is all the stuff that needs doing for work! I hate being grown up!

I flirt with guys who don’t seem to be interested,
I don’t flirt with guys who then are interested!

I don’t see this working out any time soon!

Book review- You had me at hello

I’ve just finished reading this book after only a few days of buying it! I absolutely loved it, I could just not put it down at all! The story centres around Rachel and Ben who met on their first day of Uni at Manchester. The story flips between the past and the present. With out spoiling the book, Rachel and Ben don’t end up speaking for 12 years after university until one day when she bumps back in to him. Its a love story so you’ll guess that they are in some way romantically linked! But their love story is one to be envious of!

I loved Rachel who is the main character, I loved her sense of humour! She is fun, lively and isn’t scared of speaking her mind. Although she has for years never comforted her own feelings. Until Ben comes back on the scene.

The ending was very well written and I had a warm feeling in my heart when it ended. I love a good rom com and this doesn’t disappoint. At only £1.49 on amazon for kindle its a steal!
